Using the InstallerOnce you have downloaded the source (see DocGettingCode) you are ready to install the WebBuilder2. To get up and running all you need to do is move the source so that the the "index.php" file in the "www" directory is accessable via a browser. Point your browser at the "index.php" file and follow the instructions. Please also note the requirements on the server discussed in InstallationInstructions. You should see a table with input elements with the following sections: Environment Check: Write Access: DSN: If you are getting started its recommended that you install the "fullblown example" by selecting this in the dropdown box underneath "data". System: If the system was able to determine working mod_rewrite support then you will have the option of enabling this. If you select "enable with first param as pid" then not only will mod_rewrite support be enabled, but the first parameter will always be interpreted as the page identifier. so instead of: Superadmin: All fields marked with a (*) are required. If required information is missing or incorrect the same page will appear again and the errors will be listed. If not you should see a "welcome" page after a few seconds. If you selected no sample data then you will get an error message telling you that the page could not be accessed. Note: if you are not happy with your decisions you can always remove the "core.ini" and ".installed" file from inside the root directory of the WebBuilder2 source and repeat the installation process. However you may also need to remove the ".old" file in the schema directory. As long as this file exists and you use the same hostspec and database, the installer will think you want to update an existing database and will therefore attempt to compare the .old file structure with the current one. This will come in handy when changes to the schema are made and you want to update.
