WebBuilder2

About

The WebBuilder2 is a content management framework. It consists of a number of custom and third party LibraryPackages, a set of ApplicationModules as well as an application specific set if ConfigurationFiles and ApplicationTemplates.

It is written in PhP. Its mainly targetted to run on Linux along ApacheWebServer but can also be deployed on other operation systems or web servers. While in theory it is possible to run the WebBuilder2 without a database most ApplicationModules make a SQL database a requirement. The actual choice of a RDBMS is open (based on PEAR::MDB2) while the usual choice is MySQL.

The webbuilder follows the FrontController design pattern. By providing different FrontController for different forms of communication (WWW, Email, Shell etc) it is possible to access the functionality provided by the WebBuilder2 framework in different ways.

Using the InstallationInstructions or the SampleInstallation you should be able to get the WebBuilder2 up and running.
